Scalpel At The Cross July 2014

This week our family has been working alongside the current team from Scalpel At The Cross. Usually, it is just Tyler and I who are able to participate, but the girls are on summer vacation and have all asked to be a part. They have helped with translating during our clinic day and playing with kids who are waiting for surgery or have family members in surgery. Hannah was able to help with instrument organization before sterilization. She really enjoyed herself. Sarah and Myah translated for patients receiving cortisone injections and held the patients hands during the process. It has been a joy for me to see them fit into these roles and how they just naturally took it upon themselves to fill in where the saw a need.

Here are a few pictures that capture some of what the girls have been a part of this week.
Hannah with a baby boy as he awaits tendon release surgery. He was so sweet and captured
everyone's attention with his sweet smiles how he interacted with them.
Myah was playing with this cutie while she waited her turn to have
her first set of casts on her club feet.
Hold still.
New Friends that make a great team.
A quick moment to rest between surgery cases.
One of my favourite things is praying with patients and being able to encourage them
before and after surgery.

Grade Eight Grad

In August we will officially have two daughters in high school. Wow that went fast. Here are some pictures from Sarah's graduation.
